About

CB Soulsby biography:

My passion for books started in childhood when my sister and I would spend hours constructing intricate worlds. We'd cover everything from traditional dress to politics to wedding ceremonies to naming customs (and in one case a dragon-breeding chart). Despite ageing considerably since then, my love for childrens’ fiction has never abated. It’s matured slightly to young adult fiction but still lags behind my actual age by a good decade. Working with children in a primary school setting and being the second eldest of seven has given me plenty of excuses to indulge in my children’s book obsession and I now spend most of my free time reading, writing and critiquing young adult fiction. In the rare times I'm doing none of those things, I play the harp, eat out with friends and sleep.
